Welcome to the Core's Lure

Orion Crook is an Atlanta based therapist, artist, and psychological magickian who makes art as a process of deep relational anchoring. Their dual practice lets them navigate the liminal spaces between psyche and form. For Orion, art is an act of emotional cohesion. It gathers the unspoken, the felt experience, and the psyche’s awareness into a single field of resonance. Orion’s work asks how art might function not only as representation, but as a living system for collective transformation.

Their current body of work, Core’s Lure, centers on Re-encountering the Core™, a therapeutic technique they’ve developed over the past decade to help people get in touch with their psychological core, the original them. Through a core activation meditation, one travels back prior to even conception to establish an imaginable object at the center of the nervous system, working with it until the body processes it as a new organ: a site for grounding, activation, and savoring.

All this and more is explained in the audio file above, just press play. Or consider the newer version below!

Our Revolutionary Core

A Revolutionary Activation version of the same technique — all the components, less of a meditation. Recommended unless you're seeking something deeper.

Let’s alter the timeline and catalyze our most radical center. One by one, we establish a steadfast object at the center of our nervous system — forming a collective web, a shared core language, a net that functions as a liberated front.

Right now, we need an internal place to return to: to ground, to activate, to savor our blissings. Together, let’s re-establish the core of humanity, one nervous system at a time. The revolution needs our fight, and it needs us to keep it together.
