This is a terrarium commissioned by Eyedrum Gallery, that will live in the front window of 90 Forsyth St. SW in Atlanta, GA from September 2014-September 2015 (the piece currently is still on view). Derek Dondeville was the co-constructer. I curated a show for August 15th-September 5th, 2015 (that you can see under the Living Case tab) that stemmed out of this pieces creation that indulged in the questions of: What can horticulture teach us about art? How is art alive? What happens when the artist can’t walk away from the piece or it dies? Who works with art as a living thing?
